Check me out, I'm a scrapbooker!!! :)

I haven't scrapbooked for years (since 2005) - although I still hang around UKScrappers like a lost dog, and go to crops once in a while.

But Anam's current challenge over at Inked Scrapbookers gave me the urge to rifle through my patterned paper and have a play. I just couldn't resist it, because the theme is "my next tattoo", and I thought it would be lots of fun to use the photoshop mockup of my backpiece-to-be.

I wanted to do a 12 x 12, just to prove to myself I still can.... but I couldn't find a dinner plate big enough to make my Countdown clock :) So this is 8 x 8.

That made the choice of paper easy as my 8 x 8 Rock Star stack was still out from the cardmaking frenzy last night.

The layout itself is pretty simple, and came together quickly. The clock was hand drawn (using that dinner plate :)) and cut from some DCWV metallic cardstock.

The centre of the clock is a bazzill chip painted copper and stamped with a Haida orca stamp (to tie in with the tattoo)

The title is Lil' Davis chipboard letters that I have been stroking since about 2004 and figured it was time they got USED (it hurt to open that pristine packet though!!)

And the journalling is good old Dymo

I really enjoyed this....maybe I'll do some more ....although don't hold your breath :)
