The night before last I went to see this lot ^ ... Good Charlotte .... they were better than I thought they would be based on the 3 or 4 songs I have heard played to death on the radio.
Good musicians, nice on stage rapport and connection with the audience. They put on a really good show.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself until the last song when I had a sudden "oh GOD I feel old" moment - which is rare for me. But I think that's more to do with the other big event this week (see next post) , than the fact the gig was full of tweens.
About half way through the set most of the band wandered off and left Benji - guitarist, and brother of lead singer Joel - to do a mini solo acoustic set. This was the highlight of the night for me. He sang a song called Emotionless which had me sniffling. Obviously a very important song for him, and very sad.
Sniffle sniffle.
On a happier note - and while we are on the subject of music - I just got our tickets for Bestival this year. YAY!!!!
