A slightly late crusade - my forensic self portrait

Yet another outing for my self portrait stencil - I'm certainly making it earn its keep!

This page is in response to a recent Crusade from Michelle Ward's Green Pepper Press Street Team:

Due April 1st - oops!

The premise was nice and straightforward - document yourself right now in this moment.

This will be really fun to do once a year, to see how my preferences and behaviours change over time...

I was brave and used fabric and the dreaded sewing machine on this page, it behaved perfectly, I must use it more!

I absolutely love this. I couldn't get into this crusade at all (too much about me LOL), and yours is the only one I commented on. It seems really low key and real. Great. Thanks! I might even try my own now - and it will be later than yours! LOL

Sarah - LOVE your self-stencil. (I think I told you that already but it warrants repeating) Love that you spelled it all out, what you're into, in your own writing. So personal. Love the stitching. Great way to get those tags on the page. Thanks for sharing with the team.....keep rolling....start the next one :)

p.s no HIM? *grin*

Wow, Sarah--that stencil is awesome! I went back to your earlier posts to find out where you got it, and found out that you cut it yourself. That's amazing! I am wondering how you figured out how to do it. What a great way to make any journal spread truly personal.

Sarah I'm late too! I couldn't help but laughing and feeling like we're the rebels who skipped math and went in the alley with spray paint and our parent's cigarettes!

This portrait is beautiful. I love the tags and the way you categorized them. Brilliant!!! xxxtj

I love these journal Pages. I like the simplicity and straight forwardness of the right here, right now approach you took. Your stencil is amazing and I would like to add you have great taste from the looks of your tags! I love Fringe, so glad it got picked up for a fourth season.

That stencil rocks! The whole spread does... and such a shame that the skullita wore you down! But, I still, after 30+ years of sewing stuff, cock the simplest things up... so take heart and stick with the machine!! (*says she who is going to copmplete sewing tunic summer dress #2 later - hopefully!!)
Have a great Easter weekend Sarah!
